Skyler, one of our first rescues from Korea, has been with us for years as we worked on issues that stemmed from her years of confinement imposed by the backyard breeder who abandoned her.

Her adorable cuteness and petite stature attracted many to inquire about her but they would decline, either upon learning that she needed additional training work or for other various reasons.

There was one person, though, who was in love with Skyler despite her issues – and that was (and is) her foster mom.

Skyler did not have to go far from the home where she was loved already. And, did not need to make any adjustments to a new life. After many disappointments for a new home, Skyler is no longer a foster but a much loved adoptee! Her foster mom decided that she belonged right by her side forever!

Skyler makes friends wherever she goes and her friends in the neighborhood are delighted she is staying.

Her mom reports that Skyler never fails to bring a smile to her face. Skyler’s tail wags in circles and she turns in circles in delight when she hears the leash or, especially, the car keys or to let you know she needs something. She will grab a stuffed toy almost as big as she is, and go around and around the room giving it a shake. She is surprisingly very quick and can elude attempts to grab it from her.

Hooray for Skyler! She took a long journey to get here but she didn’t need to go far to find her forever home!
