Milton | An Adopted Wire Fox Terrier Finds Love Again

Just ten-months-old, this sweet, handsome little guy named Milton needed help on very short notice. ATRA Rescue was happy to be there for him.
Personal Issues Force a Change
Like many individuals, Milton’s owner, “DeeDee,” was forced to move amidst other personal issues and upheavals. She knew that she could no longer handle a puppy and give him all the attention he needed.
The surrender was heart wrenching for DeeDee and she gave his needs priority. Luckily, DeeDee placed Milton with an experienced Wire lover and believed things would be fine. Unfortunately and unexpectedly. the new owner had a family tragedy. and it was necessary to leave the state for an unknown amount of time. Milton came back on the eve of her move. DeeDee reached out to ATRA for hellp.
ATRA Finds Milton a New Home
ATRA was glad to welcome Milton and knew he would be very adoptable. He was a delightful little Wire – smart, affable, playful and cuddly. A 10 out of 10! Sure enough, in a few months after he was neutered, Milton was adopted by Wire-veterans and went to his forever home on December 6th. The couple, Jonathan and Tom, were thrilled to welcome this energetic and very sweet Wire. And ATRA volunteers were heartened to find Milton the perfect understanding and loving home.
Jonathan and Tom, it should be noted, have a good history of adopting rescued Wires. Previously the couple adopted two others (named Cosmo and Aggie) from ATRA, then later, another named Rudy (from another rescue). All these adopted family members crossed the rainbow bridge before Milton came along. Most fortunately, Milton filled the void left by their absences. We advised them to be ready again for the kind of fun and naughtiness unique to Wire Fox puppies. And, like true Terrier lovers, they embraced the little guy, ready to lavish love and engagement to the critter. Latest reports are that everyone is thrilled to be together!
